Our postcode search function allows you to see the packages that are available in your area. We also have filters on our comparison tables which help you narrow down packages by your selected requirements and various sorting metrics to order deals for easy comparison.

Sorting metric calculations are as follows:

Cheapest Monthly Cost - The cheapest monthly cost available including any discounts.

Cheapest Average Monthly Cost - The total amount you will pay including upfront costs and monthly subscription costs for the duration of the contract, divided by the number of months in the contract (actual monthly payments may differ).

Cheapest First Year Cost - The total amount you will pay including upfront costs and monthly subscription costs for the first 12 months of the contract.

Cheapest Total Contract Cost - The total amount you will pay including upfront costs and monthly costs for the duration of the contract.

Fastest Average Speed - The fastest average broadband speed is based on the download speed calculated by the individual provider for the selected postcode.

How we make money

Broadband Compared has commercial relationships in place with some providers of broadband services. This means we get commission for certain products that are sold through our website, but this does not affect the comparison service.

Our website offers unbiased information on prices and packages, and we always aim to be both fair and transparent so you can make an informed choice about your new broadband.

Broadband Compared is free to use and you should see the best deals that we have available to show, regardless of whether we benefit financially.

Our Ofcom-accredited price comparison

We are delighted that our price comparison service has been accredited by industry regulator Ofcom. The accreditation scheme recognises comparison calculators that are “accessible, accurate, transparent and comprehensive”.

We have worked hard to earn the accreditation; our site has been developed and built around the user experience, prioritising a simple, smart way to get a great deal. We are interested in clarity, accuracy and customer satisfaction, which we hope will ensure our users return to us in the future.

A key part of our service is the way results are presented to you. We will not favour any provider, so when you compare deals you know you’re getting the transparency that’s essential to Ofcom accreditation.

You can re-order the deals to suit your preferences, so if you want the cheapest deals first then you can select that option. You could also order by provider, speed or cap/limit, and we include information such as upfront cost and contract length.

To the best of our knowledge, all the prices we display are correct, but prices are subject to change. When they do we always try to update them as quickly as possible, and we check the prices on a daily basis.

Data Protection Legislation

We are fully committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Equalities Act 2010.

In compliance with relevant data protection legislation, such as the Data Protection Act 1998 and the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Broadband Compared meets all the requirements for processing your personal data and information.
